During lockdown there has been and continues to be ample time to think. Life has to be lived differently. The world is not as it was, nor might ever be again.
My life will be changed permanently. Quite apart from the alterations imposed as a result of the pandemic and its long reaching effects I have found that personal ‘new ways to be’ are long overdue.
The appalling loss of life due to Covid19 has brought me face to face with the possibilty of the end. The unexpected end of my life…and this has made me think, deeply think about quality, richness, gratitude and attitude…
…and so I have decided to live griffitly. Of course this isn’t real…yet…but it will become my philosophy.
It is about all the things I have never allowed myself to be or to do.
Putting self first and seeing this as common sense rather than selfishness.
Living within healthy parameters, that is to say within the bounds of what I can achieve and what I feel I ought to be able to achieve.
Giving myself permission to relax, read, garden…or do nothing at all if I prefer.
Covid19 has been my personal wake up call. I have one life and I wish to live it griffitly
